A day in the shop learning to cut dovetails by hand. We'll start at the bench around 10 with sharp chisels and the wood already milled. By the end of the day you'll have a small box you cut yourself, plus the skills to keep doing it at home.

Three days at Stowe Mountain. I'll have a small selection of finished pieces and a sample board of joinery details for anyone who wants to talk about a commission. Booth 14, near the main entrance.
December 5, 2026 · Cedar Hollow Shop, Lyndonville, VT
A workshop on finishes. Oil. Wax. Shellac. When to use which, how to apply each, how to fix what goes wrong. We'll work on small sample boards together, then walk through what would change on a real piece.
December 12 – January 30, 2027 · Catamount Arts Center, 115 Eastern Ave, St. Johnsbury, VT
A winter group show at Catamount Arts featuring a dozen Vermont makers. The show runs through January 30. I'm showing a walnut writing desk and a pair of maple bedside tables (the ones from the Danville commission), both available.
