Hard maple, oiled finish
A couple wanted matching bedside tables that didn't look like a hotel. Two drawers each, a small open shelf, slightly different grain patterns so you can tell them apart.
Both came from the same board, cut consecutively, so the color stays consistent as they age together. Oiled finish that's easy to maintain.
Sometimes the right answer is two of the same piece, built from the same wood.
